How to DonateMerchandise donations can be dropped off at either of our three stores during store hours. Larger items, such as furniture and large appliances can be picked up, free of charge, by one of our trucks. Please call us to arrange for an appointment. Please note that we can only accept donated items that are clean, servicable, and in good (or better) condition. If you have a question about an item that you wish to donate, call us at 215-957-6131. Why Donate to Impact Thrift?Your merchandise donations support local charities- Impact Thrift exists to support local charities. We give the net proceeds of our thrift store sales to the 17 charities we support. By the end of 2010, Impact will have given over $1 million to charity. Thank you for your continued support! An Impact donation is a green choice - We recycle your unneeded items to those who need them at affordable prices. Your merchandise donations really do make a difference -We are a 501(c)(3), independent non-profit organization that runs solely on merchandise donations.
We make it easy! We pick up donations at homes, schools, churches and synagogues, offices, etc. free of charge for large items. Give yourself a break while helping others - Your donated items are tax-deductible. Pick up your receipt at our back door drop off area when donating, or receive one from our truck drivers upon completion of your scheduled pick-up. Are you moving? Downsizing? Whether you are shopping or donating, we want you to know how much we appreciate your help. To further assist us, please check the list below for items we cannot accept and for condition requirements for those we do accept. As always, your continued support along with cooperation with these guidelines will enable Impact Thrift to be even more effective in the future. CONDITION REQUIREMENTS: - All items must be in very good working order: no rust, damaged areas, missing or broken parts.
- All soft goods (including clothing, bedding, rugs, domestic items, upholstered furniture, etc.) must be free of stain, rips, tears or threadbare areas.
- Large appliance such as washing machines and dryers must be less than 10 yrs old and in perfect working order

**The enforcement of the Conmsumer Product Saftey Improvement Act (CPSI) on Feb, 10, 2009, has prohibited Impact Thrift from selling many items meant for children 12 and under, including toys. Please visit the government website for further information at www.cpsc.gov/cpsia.
